The Film Contest Has Returned

 

Guidelines

Deadline to Submit Films: January 31, 2018

All films will be judged in one division. With Prizes being awarded to the following:

1st Place: $200 Cash

2nd Place: $100 Cash

3rd Place: $50 Cash

Special Prizes will be given out for Best Ages 13-17 and Best Under the Age of 12.

All films must be submitted in a digital format on this website (click here). Follow on screen instructions to submit. Participants under the age of 18 must have the consent of a parent or guardian.

Open Division will receive cash prizes for the top 3 films. Teen and Junior divisions will receive merchandise awards for Top Film. Rules are below, judging guidelines are here.

Winners will be announced in 2018 at the Teddy Ball at Crystal Mountain Resort. Each entry will receive one (1) free admission ticket to The Teddy Ball. Others purchase tickets here.

Rules and Restrictions

1. The contest is open to filmmakers of all ages (participants under age 18 must have the consent of a parent or legal guardian).
2. All films must be themed or based on winter sports and no longer than 10 minutes in length.
3. All entries must be submitted in digital format on www.teddyknapefilmfest.org, deadline to submit is January 31, 2018.
4. Participants must adhere to licenses and copyright laws pertaining to music, verbiage and logos (music licensed by ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC is permitted).
5. Any films including profanity, nudity or tricks jeopardizing the safety and health of the person(s) creating the film or others will be grounds for disqualification.
6. Films will be judged on creativity, content, shot composition, and editing.
7. The top films, as determined by a panel of judges, will receive prizes.
